Access to “Kyoetsu Gion Shop” from the nearest train station, bus station

Route from Keihan “Gion Shijo station” number 1 exit to “Kyoetsu Gion Shop”

Route to “Kyoetsu Gion Shop” from Keihan “Gion Shijo station” number 1 exit. This is the recommended route as the road is less busy. It talkes around 10 mins from the station exit

Exit the Keihan “Gion shijo station” and turn around and walk towards the number 1 exit.

Walk for 200 meters and walk up the number 1 stairs at the end

Climb up the stairs and continue on the right side

Continue on straight

Turn right at “WINS Kyoto” at the end of the street

Turn left at “Kenninji Temple”

Walk for 3 mins and turn right at the  Higashiyama Yasui intersection

Walk for 2 mins, and cross at the next traffic light. Walk pass the rock torii (gate) and climb at the hill.

Walk around 1 min from the rock torii (gate).

Turn right at the second intersection.

As you walk for around 30 seconds, you will reach the “Gion shop” on your right hand side.

Route from Keihan “Gion Shijo station” number 6 exit to “Kyoetsu Gion Shop”

This is the route from Keihan “Gion Shijo station”  number 6 exit. The Shijo street (Gion shopping street) is often filled with people and therefore takes a while to reach the store. If there are not alot of people, it will take around 13 minutes to arrive to the store.

Exit Keihan “Gion Shijo Station”, turn right and climb up the stairs at the number 6 exit.

Climb up the stairs and turn right

Continue straight on Shijo Street

Turn right at the corner (You will see the Yasaka Shrine in front of you)

Walk on the foot path

Walk for around 6 minutes and cross the crossing at the third traffic light. Walk pass the rock torii (gate) and walk up the hill.

Walk around 1 min  from the rock torii (gate).

Turn right at the second intersection.

As you walk for around 30 seconds, you will reach the “Gion shop” on your right hand side.

Route from Hankyu “Kawaramachi station” to “Kyoetsu Gion Shop”

This is the route from Hankyu Kawaramachi station to the store. It takes around 15 mins.

Exit the east ticket gate at Hankyu Kawaramachi station and walk towards number 1 exit at the front.

Turn right at the corner and walk towards “1B exit”

Climb up the stairs and turn right

Continue east on Shijo street

Cross the Shijo bridge

Cross the crossing infront of the Minamiza

Continue east on Shijo street

Turn right at the corner (You will see the Yasaka Shrine in front of you)

Route from Kyoto City Bus stop “Higashiyama Yasui” to “Kyoetsu Gion Shop”

It takes around 2 mins from the bus stop to Kyoetsu Gion Shop

This is the Kyoto Bus stop “Higashiyama Yasui”. If you came from the Kyoto Station direction, get off the bus and walk towards the opposite direction. (Top of photo). If you came from the Shijo Kawaramachi direction, walk straight (Bottom of photo)

If you came from Shijo Kawaramachi direction, cross the next crossing. If you came from the Kyoto station direction, turn left at the next corner. Walk pass the rock torii (gate) and walk up the hill.

Walk around 1 min from the rock torii (gate).

Turn right at the second intersection.
